The market for home interiors and renovation in India is estimated to be between USD 20 Billion- USD 30 Billion.

The interior design market is a crafty science enhancing the interiors of a space to achieve a healthier and aesthetically pleasing environment. The interior design business is developing rapidly in the Indian market.

With 400 Architecture Colleges producing 24000 Architect graduates every year and there are almost 1,594 Design Colleges in India. These colleges producing roughly over 90000 Interior designers every year. It means that there are over 1,15,000 architects and designers are passing out every year to serve the market. Out of these freshers less than 20 percent continue to serve more than 2 years and rest others chooses another career. Primary reasons for this shift are

  • Client confidence on these freshers is extremely less as this industry lacks corporate houses and is highly unorganized,

Decorite program is targeting these designers, architects and interior enthusiasts who are lacking execution and interior management experience to learn best interior execution practices. Decorite program trains these designers in all categories of interior design viz., Carpentry, False Ceiling, Electrical, Painting, Civil, Plumbing, Loose Furniture, Furnishing etc. through class room training program and on field sessions. They are continuously trained for a year in what is latest in market, new products, tools and techniques, Business Accounting, Client Management skills and Vendor Management skills. During the period of one year, each DCP is given a senior Decorite designer as mentor who helps DCP in all technical, aesthetic, and functional queries. DCPs are given leads to reach out to client to fulfil demand needs. Thereby, In a year, each DCP is continuously not only learning but potentially start earning as well.
